So first to catch you guys up to speed: This is the second book in the Blood Moon series. In the first book (Ties to the Blood Moon) we meet Genevieve Lebreck who has to move from her home to Alaska after her mother tragically dies in a house fire. After she moves to Alaska all this crazy stuff starts happening to her, the main thing being she finds out she isn't even human. She ends up in the crazy love triangle with the wonderful William, and the impossibly sweet Joseph (who is really my favorite character in the series!). As the plot develops, many truths are revealed, and the lives of all humanity are at stake. Gen must go to Prague to try and stop evil from taking over the world, and Prague is fraught with deception.
The second book picks up and takes off running! I don't want to give to much away, but crazy stuff happens! At parts I felt like my heart was being ripped out (sigh... Joseph). So much happens in this book, and it constantly kept me guessing. I did feel like Gen sort of regressed in this book, and became a self absorbed teenager, but this is a YA book, so whiny teenagers are expected! :-) Other than Gen's regression, I loved the other characters in this book. Even the new and surprising ones! The ending is absolutely a cliff hanger, because we absolutely have no idea where the lines are being drawn and who is alive or gone! This was a fun read, and if you like the Twilight vibe, this one is totally for you. But, I will warn you that William and Joseph definitely outrank Edward and Jacob. I'll leave you to figure that one out. So go buy these books!! They are such a fun read and you can tell Robin has invested a lot in the quality of the story and characters that are in the book! Oh and look below for a special treat! :)
Now, I have something super exciting up my sleeve, because we have the very awesome, and wonderful William here on the blog for an interview today!!! Yay! Thanks so much for stopping in William!
So tell us what your favorite memory with Gen is;
That’s a hard one. Just being with her is all I care about. She is the type of girl that only has to look at you to make your heart skip a beat. But one of my most favorite times was the night of the bonfire and I took her on top of the rocks to see the Northern Lights. She watched the colors dance across the sky, but I couldn’t break away from gazing at her.
When did you first fall in love with Gen?
Well, I knew there was something there when I first spotted her at school. But, when she fainted at my feet in her kitchen, I fell, too—metaphorically. I fell madly in love with her.
What is your favorite color?
Why, red of course.
Do you have any favorite television shows?
Being in a relationship with Genevieve, who has time for TV? But, if I did, I would have to say Twilight Zone.
Tell us a random fact about yourself:
I am much older than I look.
Finally, describe yourself using only three words:
Cultured, mesmerizing, quick tempered.
